Q:   Hello Corey, and again thank you for taking time out of your busy schedule to chat. 

Is that a question??? LOL! If that's the question I just asked an answer???? LOL

Q:  Word on the street is that you have a close friend who sponsors a team on the Circuit. 

I wouldn’t call him a close friend but Steve McNair who has been a competitor and NFL colleague of mine, as well as a fellow Nashville resident for over ten years is one the most accomplished and respected associates I have.  And as long as I can remember, his name has been associated with having a softball team, and a very good one at that.

Q:  From talking with him and from what you have seen of our message board  what are your thoughts? 

I’m very impressed, mostly because I didn’t know that the circuit was this large and this organized.  And as a former professional athlete I can appreciate the opportunity for annual camaraderie and great competition that sports bring.

Q:  As some one who has competed at the most competitive level professionally, do you think you could compete on the Black Softball Circuit?  

Well since I consider myself a pretty good athlete, I feel like I can be good at any sport that has a ball in it, lol.  Seriously, I probably could. I played baseball in clubs, and school teams through high school.  Now how good I would be is another story, I’m sure I could hit at least a field goal or two, just kidding!

Q: Could there be a Steve McNair vs. Corey Harris Homerun Derby sometime in the near future? 

Steve McNair DOES NOT want to see Corey Harris in a home run derby…I’m telling you, he doesn’t…cause I would be terrible, to terrible to watch, lol.  I have about as good of a chance beating Steve McNair in a homerun derby as Gary Coleman does beating LeBron James in a dunk contest; I’m certain Gary would come up “short” just like I would.

Q: Now that you have retired from a very successful career in the NFL, I hear that you have been keeping yourself busy with other ventures. What are you up to these days?

Well as soon a I retired I penned my first novel called, Secret Lives Of the Wives: The Flipside of the Coin aka SLOW (available @ www.getslow.com (shameless plug

: -)).  It’s a racy fiction about five NFL wives, their heartbreaks and indiscretions.  It’s a drama interpretation of experiences that have taken place over my 12 year NFL career.  I have turned the book into a stage play, screenplay and television pilot.  I am in early talks for production for those projects. But I am really excited about my current project that will change how audio books are done. I am releasing what I call an “Audio Cinema Book” and Soundtrack which are very accurate interpretations of the debut novel SLOW, and the soundtrack will be surprisingly entertaining to my audience.

 Q: Wow, who would have known you were more than just an outstanding athlete, but also an entrepreneur, writer, and musician. 

That’s the one thing about being a professional football player, a lot of times either people don’t get to see the other things that we do or don’t take us seriously.  But I have been in this game for a long time I have owned a performing arts center, a nightclub, a sports bar, recorded two albums with grammy winning artist, writers and producers but now that I am not in the NFL I  have a chance to focus on the other things I love.

Q: S.L.O.W. sounds like something the members of Grown Folks lounge would be very interested in. 

It is definitely for the Grown Folks.  I know you thought you knew and you’ve heard this story a thousand times but I can almost guarantee that you haven’t heard it like this.  And before Christmas the sequel will be here and ready.
